Career Compass Workshop Recap

Greetings, JETAA Rocky Mountain community! We hope this post finds you well and inspired after our Career Compass Workshop and Networking event. It was a spectacular gathering filled with insightful discussions, valuable learning experiences, and meaningful networking opportunities that left us feeling energized and ready to conquer new professional horizons.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who attended the event. Your presence, engagement, and enthusiasm contributed to the vibrant atmosphere that made this workshop truly special. As we reflect on the success of the event, we are especially grateful for the collaboration with Jessyca Livingston and USJETAA (U.S. Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme Alumni Association). Joining forces with such dedicated partners added a layer of expertise and insight that elevated the overall experience.

A significant part of our gratitude is reserved for the outstanding panelists who generously shared their wisdom. Jennifer Basco of Silver Sparrow Coaching, Emily Frank of Denver Career Catalyst, Takeshi Yamagishi of QUICK USA, Inc., and our insightful moderator, Claudine Locascio of Japan America Society of Colorado, formed an exceptional team. Their expertise transformed the workshop into an enlightening and enriching journey, providing valuable insights into navigating the complexities of career development.

Special recognition is also extended to the Denver Asian Chamber of Commerce for graciously providing the venue that set the stage for our event. The beautiful space was conducive to open dialogue and collaboration, fostering an environment where connections could be forged and ideas could flourish. A big shoutout to Tokio Restaurant for their delicious catering, ensuring our minds were fueled as we delved into the world of career exploration.

After the success of the Career Compass Workshop, our focus now shifts to the future. To the JETAA Rocky Mountain community, we want to build upon this momentum and continue growing our chapter's capacity to support both recently returned and seasoned JET alumni in finding direction in their careers and expanding their professional networks.

We invite you to be an integral part of this journey. Your input and engagement are invaluable. If you have insights, experiences, or resources to share, please reach out to us. Let's work together to create an even more robust support system for our community.

In the coming year, be on the lookout for opportunities to get involved. Whether it's volunteering at events, sharing your expertise, or simply being an active participant, your contribution will play a vital role in shaping the success of JETAA Rocky Mountain.

As we wrap up this post, we extend our sincere gratitude once again to everyone who made the Career Compass Workshop a resounding success. Together, we are not just navigating careers; we are building a community that empowers and uplifts each other. Here's to the exciting journey ahead!
